We were thinking about putting some foil under the path but we only had a small part that we put around the stump. And who would wait another day to buy it :)
Generally the path is pretty well cleared of grass and roots, but the grass always finds its way.
We plan to add more gravel, so it will be thicker and there is also hot water to water any grass that sprouts. And the little man with his machines :)
