We were bored with sitting at home and took a road trip to the south coast. The wife wanted to see the sea. Given the very heavy and brutally cold wind today, I think she got a little more than she bargained for. :D
We drove directly south down to the coastal town of Loviisa first.

We drove to the nuclear power plant in H盲stholmen (another Swedish word). The sea view is nice from there.
Two Soviet-made VVER-440 pressure water reactors. The control instrumentation was delivered by Siemens and the process computer was made by Nokia. The containment buildings were designed by Westinghouse. The current power output of each reactor is over 500 MW. Together, they account for about 10% of the power generated in Finland. The plant was completed in 1977. Over half a billion euros have been spent to improve and upgrade it over the years.
The sea is mostly free of ice but there is some near the shoreline.
