By 1 Coin you must mean one cent?

The median salary of full-time employees is about €2,800 in my country or about €133 per day, which translates into €17.8 per hour (7.5 hour day) or €0.30 per minute. If my video post makes €0.30 in author rewards and it takes me a minute to post it to Hive, then it would be about worth my while to make it if I were a median salary earner. Less would probably suffice because uploading posts to Hive is not a very demanding job. I'd personally probably do it for €0.1 a minute depending on how much I needed the money.

I tend to agree that while the money really is comparatively easy here even at a token price of 12 cents, it should not be stressed too much, because it's so easy that people tend not to believe it. When I've told people about reagularly earning tens of cents on a single quality comment (not shit like "good post") in 2017, they have automatically assumed that there has to be a catch.

The economics of Hive boil down to altcoin speculators paying content creators a greed tax. The only motivation for speculation is greed. The rewards on Hive make that speculation a negative sum game.

Instead of making consumers pay extra to advertisers often for making them want the products in the first place and the advertisers paying a cut to social media/online influencers, we Hiveans on this blockchain get our value from a greed tax paid by speculators. The value we produce is in our content, which can be enjoyed entirely for free by anyone.
