Buffet doesn't like gold, either. Buffett doesn't like anything that isn't a stock. There is no dividend in Bitcoin. That's what I've understood what Buffett says when he says Bitcoin does not do anything. As to the rest of the crypto space, I don't think his research goes any deeper than Bitcoin.
Buffet is right about buying into business (stocks) being a better option in the long term than investing in store-of-value assets such as gold. But the point of Bitcoin is that it's an emerging store of value asset as well as a payment system thanks to trustless and scalable second layer solutions.
