Still Skating 2020!

Good day everyone!
This is my first official blog since I created this Hive account. I have not blog and for a long time because of personal reasons. Still, I skated every time I can. I want to share with you these photos I collected skating on the times I have not blogged. Hope you enjoy reading and viewing my photos!

This following photos is taken on our accommodation camp in my new work. As you can see, I am in the middle of the desert so I do not have any spots or obstacle I can use to skate, I struggled to find a proper spot. What I did is I scavenge some wood, blocks and luckily I found an angle bar lying around and I put them together to make a little ledge. It was not fun at all. hahah. Although I tried, the only trick I made was a 50-50. The angle bar just kept moving and the wood is always being knocked out.

Here below is the walkways to going to our cabins. It is not much happy here but we had to make some sacrifices for our ultimate goals right?

On the next days, I walked around our camp and I found this abandoned ablution area. It is much better than the first area I skated and it has ledges. The ledges are a bit high for me but in the middle of the desert, it is a blessing. hahah. I skated here after work, and I tried to skate everyday. after work and staying in the camp, we had nothing much to do.

The UAE have been in a middle of a struggle since the COVID pandemic. I left the first company I had for six and a half years to move on because the economy is not doing well. It was great to switch companies and I was one of the lucky people who was able to do so. Almost everyone I know had lost their jobs and was forced to go back to the Philippines so I am not taking this opportunity for granted.
I just tell myself that I am here now and make the best out of it. Out of all of that, YES, I AM STILL SKATEBOARDING and I will be blogging more!
