A prolonged bear market can be tiring when we look at prices and realize that they don't reflect the value we think a particular crypto network should have. But then again: Did I not buy that crypto because I thought it was a better store of value than my FIAT or because it had an intrinsic utility that I will need and that will likely be more expensive in the future?
Furthermore, handling cryptos correctly is not easy and requires planning and concentration. And while we cannot control their FIAT prices we can control the security level with which we transfer and store them.
Sometimes, I am just happy that in the past five years and thousands of transactions I only lost a small amount of crypto and that makes me proud. No matter what their current FIAT price is. Routinely reviewing my storage and transfer strategy has proven invaluable.
