This post is as much for me to remember as it is for you to read. I am grateful that I have a few more days here in Acapulco to transform my experience into action.
First I would like to thank Jeff Berwick (@dollarvigilante) for bringing together so many outstanding people and for the excellent organization of this large event at this beautiful venue. I very much enjoyed the meeting.
His talk was nothing short of my highest expectations. He talked about collectivism versus individualism; two terms that were rather new to me. For those of you who don't know his work, I have found the following talk that covers some of the content he presented here in Acapulco: Collectivism vs Individualism, Idea X and The Creature from Jekyll Island. In this talk, you will learn about (a) The US Federal Reserve System, and (b, starting around 16:00) about Idea X, collectivism, and individualism. I think that listening to this talk is an hour well spent.
Lyn Ulbricht is Ross Ulbricht's mother and CEO of the Ross Ulbricht Defense Effort. She has received a massive applause and standing ovation from the audience. And she has convinced me to sign the petition to free Ross.
While having a drink by the pool I met Ken and Kier (@kierkirby) and we were having a great chat about the conference and Bitcoin and where we came from. Kier then mentioned that she had problems with getting banned from media sites where she had tens of thousands of followers. Of course, I mentioned Steem, Dsound, D.Tube and she got really interested. When I asked her how she got those larger number of followers she told me that 25 years ago she and her band Deee-Lite ... well, check it out yourself. So I hope we will see her content on Steem soon.
