Ayer martes siguiendo la tradición católica recibió su bautizo en casa, lo que se le conoce como "la echada de agua" un ritual donde los padrinos, padres y la familia se comprometen según la tradición a cuidar del pequeño. En los últimos tiempos he asistido a varios rituales como este y me he dado cuenta que algunas cosas han cambiado, por ejemplo en mis tiempos sólo tenía asignada una madrina y un padrino de agua, ahora los padres colocan hasta 3 parejas de padrinos o mas y terminan todos emparentados gracias a este nuevo miembro de la familia.
Hello, it is a pleasure to share my experiences again, I tell you that I have a new godchild which makes me very happy, for me being a godmother is a serious role, a great commitment and I assume it with all the responsibility possible, although at the beginning when I was chosen I tried to get out of the commitment, when I saw this little being I was conquered. My godson Cristopher is only 1 month old and daddy God allowed him to continue living because when he was born he had many complications but he has overcome them to everyone's happiness.
Yesterday, Tuesday, following the catholic tradition, he received his baptism at home, which is known as "la echada de agua", a ritual where the godparents, parents and family commit themselves according to tradition to take care of the little one. In recent times I have attended several rituals like this and I have realized that some things have changed, for example in my time I only had assigned a godmother and a godfather of water, now parents place up to 3 pairs of godparents or more and end up all related thanks to this new member of the family.
Aunque soy una persona de fe, no asisto mucho a la iglesia sin embargo respeto las religiones y puedo sin problema compartir porque lo importante acá es el bienestar del niño en este caso. Fue agradable compartir con los compadres a quienes conozco desde jovencita y conocer a otras personas. Mi esposo y yo fuimos padrinos junto a 4 personas mas .Todo transcurrió con alegría, de manera sencilla se realizó el ritual , para nuestra fortuna la abuela y tia del ahijado nos acompañaron en las oraciones, al final brindamos y aprovechamos de conversar, bromear como por lo general sucede en tipo de reuniones familiares.
Compartir estos momentos me hizo reflexionar de la importancia de la familia, aún en condiciones tan humildes siempre se busca la manera de compartir, me sentí muy bien en compañía de estas personas, las bromas, anécdotas, sonrisas y esa sencillez en el ambiente me hicieron sentir muy cómoda. La vida está llena de sorpresas, cada vivencia es importante en nuestra evolución como seres humanos, familia es la biológica pero también es aquella con la que compartes, esa con la que te unen lazos de afecto, de amistad.
Ser madrina para mi es importante y mientrás esté a mi alcance cuidaré de este pequeño al brindarle todas las orentaciones posibles, deseo para el lo mejor del mundo ¡Dios te bendiga Cristopher!
Although I am a person of faith, I do not attend church very much, but I respect religions and I can share without any problem because the important thing here is the welfare of the child in this case. It was nice to share with the compadres whom I have known since I was young and to meet other people. My husband and I were godparents along with 4 other people, everything went with joy, in a simple way the ritual was performed, for our fortune the grandmother and aunt of the godchild accompanied us in the prayers, at the end we toasted and took the opportunity to talk, joke as usually happens in such family gatherings.
Sharing these moments made me reflect on the importance of family, even in such humble conditions we always look for ways to share, I felt very good in the company of these people, the jokes, anecdotes, smiles and that simplicity in the atmosphere made me feel very comfortable. Life is full of surprises, every experience is important in our evolution as human beings, family is the biological one but it is also the one with whom you share, the one with whom you have bonds of affection and friendship.
Being a godmother for me is important and as long as it is within my reach I will take care of this little one by giving him all the possible orientations, I wish him the best in the world God bless you Christopher!
