Hermosos limones.

A month ago I had told one of my older sisters that a lemon tree was about to bloom because I noticed a change in its leaves, these are wrinkled to give way to flowers, I remember that the first time I saw this in another lemon tree I thought the plant was sick but it was not, today the process is repeated with another lemon tree at home, but this is the so-called "cashier lemon" here, a large lemon like an orange with lots of juice inside.

But the "limón criollito" also grows in the yard, it is not so big but it contains a lot of juice inside. The elders of the area who are dedicated to planting always advise not to take the lemons at noon because it damages the plant, it is advisable to remove the fruit in the early hours or in the late afternoon.

The lemon is a fruit that contains vitamin C and in these times of COVID has served to lessen the flu symptoms through hot lemonade. Here in my town in most of the houses you will find a lemon tree, it is tradition, perhaps because it is a fishing village and this fruit always accompanies seafood. In the patios grow wild plants which have beauty, I could photograph some of them, their colors stand out among the grass, I remember memories of my childhood when I played and picked wild flowers to make beautiful wreaths or bouquets.

There is a plant that has many years in the courtyard of my parents' house and whose flower is emblematic in the State of Nueva Esparta in Venezuela and is the beautiful flower "Cayenne", the one I show you is red and seems to be a double flower, but there are also more simple and other colors like pink and yellow, all of a very particular beauty. This flower is widely used for medicinal purposes, especially for alopecia (the flower is boiled and the water is applied to the hair).
