It's a pleasure for me to discover new communities that inspire me to write about various topics. Some time ago I came across Movies & TV Shows Community and decided to subscribe, although I had not yet decided what to post there, but this contest sponsored by OCD gave me the motivation I needed.
Talking a little about me, my tastes and preferences in series and movies go in the Drama and Romance classification, I love movies with love stories, those that break our hearts and then give us back our faith in love, also real life stories, period dramas, historical and of course movies with book adaptations. So in a few words I declare myself a fan of cheesy movies.
The list of romantic movies and series I've seen in my life is super long, but I'll focus on the most recent.
Strolling through Netflix's catalog of drama series I came across a series titled "When Calls the Heart". It's a story based on the books by Canadian writer Janette Oke, and produced by the Hallmark Channel.

The story takes place in the early twentieth century, in a mining town in the northern United States. The main character is a teacher named Elizabeth who arrives in town to teach the children of the mining families, discovering that they have just suffered a terrible tragedy, where the coal mine exploded and almost all the men and fathers of the families died in the incident.
The protagonist will always give all her help to the families with her positive attitude, besides showing everyone and even herself what she can be capable of adapting to life in the village. It should be noted that she comes from a wealthy family from a very sophisticated city and the people in the village are suspicious that she, a refined woman, can do well in such a primitive village. Even so, she wins everyone's heart and manages to adapt, giving the best of herself. And the most beautiful thing of all is that she finds true love there.
The series began in 2014 and is already in its 8th season, many things have happened in the story, more than once it has brought tears to my eyes because every time I watch an episode it is as if I were traveling to that town and being part of the series, it is very addictive, but at the same time it has a light plot.
Another dramatic series and set in other times is the so famous "Anne with an E", and I was not disappointed. what a thrilling story!!!!!

This series is based on the book by Canadian writer Lucy Maud Montgomery, titled Anne of Green Gables and was adapted as a series for CBC Television and included in the Netflix catalog in 2017.
The story is about the life of Anne, a 13-year-old orphan girl who is adopted by two aging brothers to live on their farm in the Canadian outback. The story tells how she suffered in the orphanage, the issue of having hair the color different from everyone else, red, almost orange. She also has an endless imagination, a passion for reading, writing, learning and justice.
In the chapters we can see reflected some stigmas of the society of that time, such as the role of women destined to be wives and mothers, and the refusal to allow them to have freedom of decision. It also deals with bullying, since Anne, being different from the other girls because of her hair color and extraordinary intelligence and way of speaking with difficult words that she learned by reading classic books of English literature, is the victim of rejection by most of her classmates.
What I liked most about this story is how she manages to overcome and leave without effect the rejection of others, proving to be a very intelligent girl, and winning the affection of all. What I didn't like is that they didn't renew more seasons, I only got to season 3, having still issues to complete and resolve. It left me wanting to keep on listening to Anne's stilted words, which in a way makes me feel identified by some aspects of her personality.
Those are just two of my favorite series, I have an infinite list of movies and series that I love and that I will surely be sharing with you my impressions and recommendations. I hope that one of these two series catches your attention and if you are interested in any of them and you watch them you can share your opinion with me.

La historia transcurre en a inicios del siglo XX, en un pueblo minero del norte de Estados Unidos. La protagonista es una maestra llamada Elizabeth que llega al pueblo para darle clases a los hijos de las familias mineras, descubriendo que acaban de sufrir una terrible tragedia, donde la mina de carbón exploto y casi todos los hombres y padres de las familias murieron en el incidente.
La protagonista les dará siempre toda su ayuda a las familias con su actitud positiva, además de demostrarle a todos e incluso a ella misma de lo que puede ser capaz para adaptarse a la vida del pueblo. Cabe destacar que ella viene de una familia rica de una ciudad muy sofisticada y las personas en el pueblo desconfían de que ella, una mujer refinada, pueda darse bien en ese pueblo tan primitivo. Aun así, ella se va ganado el corazón de todos y se logra adaptar, dando lo mejor de sí misma. Y lo más bonito de todo es que allí encuentra el amor verdadero.
La serie empezó en el año 2014 y ya van por la 8va temporada, han pasado muchas cosas en la historia, más de una vez me ha sacado las lágrimas porque cada vez que veo un capítulo es como si viajara ese pueblo y fuera parte de la serie, es muy adictiva, pero a la vez tiene una trama leve.
Otra serie dramática y ambientada en otras épocas es la tan famosa “Anne with an E”, y no me decepciono. ¡¡¡Que historia emocionante!!!

Lo que más me gusto de esta historia es como ella logra superar y dejar sin efecto el rechazo de los demás, demostrando ser una niña muy inteligente, y ganándose el cariño de todos. Lo que no me gusto es que no renovaron más temporadas, llego solo hasta la temporada 3, teniendo aun asuntos por completar y resolver. Me dejo con ganas de seguir escuchado las palabras rebuscadas de Anne, que de cierta forma me hace sentir identificada por algunos aspectos de su personalidad.
Esas son apenas dos de mis series favoritas, tengo una lista infinita de películas y series que me encantan y que de seguro estere compartiendo con ustedes mis impresiones y recomendaciones.
