News: January 17, 2022. Labor Shortages Increasing Due to Employees Calling out Sick.

The Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is extremely contagious and causing employees to call in sick in a widespread way. Although is has significantly less lethality that the Delta variant, it is far more contagious and causing a labor shortage.

The labor shortage is a consequence of the fact that a sick person should not be working, but also because of the quarantine requirement of a person who tests positive for this virus.
