Took two weeks off work and went camping in the middle of nowhere in the top of New Zealand. My friends and I had never been there before and I had no idea what to expect. Needless to say, we got there and then realized there was not a store in a 50km proximity to us so we had to backtrack to get supplies. Picked up a German hitchhiker on the way back up who stayed with us for the next week, trekking and exploring around the beautiful countryside.
