Goooooooood morning MONDAY!
Well, what a week it was! It has made me so pre-occupied with all the travels and conferences/meetings I had attended that I barely posted something here.
But now, I will make sure I could insert one because I am supeeeeeeeeer excited to share with you my latest cravings.
SHAWARMA WRAPS!
It has been and always and forever a favorite food to go for me. There is not a single moment that I won't sneak away to buy and eat Turks or Shawarma Shack, the two branded shawarma wraps available here in the Robinson's Mall. It is always a must for me that I would have to indulge myself and give in to my shawarma cravings. Sadly, I can only have a taste on this lovely and very sumptuous wrap whenever we are in the city, which is very very rare like once or twice in a month. So, whenever I get the chance, I don't miss it. But, it has been long since I had my last indulgence.
But last night, we had one of our bestest dinner so far. All thanks to my ex-boyfie who had brought home a big surprise foe everyone, he had a pack of ready-made PITA BREAD in his bag!!!! I literally jumped for joy like a kid who had gotten her very first puppy or the very first cellphone..hahahaha. I could not explain my emotions for I was beyond happy and I know my long time cravings will be sated. My kids also looooooove shawarma wraps even though it has a little vegie inside, good thing they have inherited my love for food. lols. hahahahaha.
I had been bugging him that we can create our own shawarma wraps and I feel it is an easy thing, we can just use alternatives on the meat and sauces or whatever is available. The only thing that is not readily available is the PITA BREAD. I have no idea where he got it!
So, me and the kids were ecstaticly excited as we immediately rummaged our but small refrigerator to see whatever stock meat and vegetable we have that can go perfect with our wrap. I told them, we can invent and create our shawarma the way we want it.
And this is what we found, we have a little leftover of the bacon-sliced pork meat which I just half stir-fried quickly. Then added and diced up some fresh cucumber and tomatoes and red onions. The cucumber, tomatoes and onions are from the backyard garden all fresh and will be responsible for the juiciness and crunchy goodness in our mouth. Though, the original wraps it offers beef strips and we only have pork sliced at the moment. Nothing is gonna stop us to get this on. Yeeeeep! And we are ready for wrapping!
Game on!
Then, I suddenly heard a protest from the littlest monkey of mine.
Mommy!!!!!! I waaaant cheese into it please!!
Okay baby granted!
Okay, I added my favorite KIMCHI too because I'm feeling of having a spicier flavor and a little bit of mayonnaise as well that would do some kick probably. We will see about that! What do you think, is this a perfect combination?
Now, let us start wrapping guys! And oh by the way, I had just popped over the stove the wraps for a little burnt flavors. I don't know if I did it right though, I had seen someone doing this. I hope it somehow works! haha..
Here we go!
So first, add in the bacon-sliced pork meats together with the onions. Where did my tomatoes go? I was pretty sure I had snapped them in too. hmmmmmm...
My boys sprint over the mayonnaise and the cheese sauces!
And still my tomatoes are missing.. hahaha..
Of course, my wrap has the Kimchi on top, I wouldn't want one without it. Oh yeah, there are my tomatoes! Thank goodness! I looooove everything in it. I looooooove anything spicy! Speaking of which, a RAMEN would also be a best pair for this.
Aaaaaaaaaaand it's a wrap!!!! Ooohh la la la!
Ayeeeeeeeeeeee!! I'm so excited to take a bite! Are you???
First bite is soooooooooo delicious, I swear it's as good as the ones being sold at the malls! Our sauces may vary but it is perfect in some ways! Omeeeegeeeeeeed.. I have had two servings! 😋
