Semele is one of the lovers of Zeus according to Greek mythology.
Semele is pregnant to Zeus's child. Hera, the wife of Zeus who heard this, goes to Semele in disguise. And Hera asks who this kid's father. Semele gives answer this question the kid's father name is Zeus. But Hera says it can not be true. And Hera tells, someone deceived Semele. Semele then wants to see the divine appearance of Zeus. But when Zeus shows himself, Semele burns and dies.
Semele's child is saved from burning. And when Semele's child grows up, he rescues Semele from underground and takes it to Olympus. And Semele start the live in Olympos.
