Maximus was born in 335. Maximus's full name is Magnus Maximus. In 383 Maximus became emperor of the Roman state.
Maximus is a very successful general. Because of this, Maximus was declared an emperor by Roman soldiers. Maximus fought against the Roman emperors Gratian, Valentinian, and Theodosius. Maximus has won all these battles.
And Maximus fought against the Gauls. And Maximus conquered all of Gaul. Maximus intervened very hard, especially with barbarians and rebels. However, the people of Rome loved Maximus very much.
Maximus was killed by rebel soldiers in 388.
