According to researches, the communities began to live in Kırklareli in the first 1 million BC. Communities living in this period are hunter and nomadic. Agriculture and settled life in Kirklarelin started in 5500 BC. And Kırklareli has been trying to be conquered by many states because of having suitable lands for agriculture. And by these states which conquered Kirklareli, many investments were made to Kirklareli. Finally, Kırklareli was conquered by the Ottoman Empire. After the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, Kırklareli has been a city of the Republic of Turkey.
