Eöl is a dark elve who lived in Tolkien's middle world. Eöl lived in Nan Elmoth. Eöl didn't like other Elves much. Eöl's friends were dwarfs. And he used to work in smithing in Eöl. Eöl deceived Aredhel, the Princess of Gondolin, who was lost in the jungle. And finally, Eöl married Aredhel. After his marriage, Eöl forbade Aredhel to go to Gondolin again. Eöl and Aredhel had a son, Maeglin. Aredhel and Maeglin went to Gondolin, although it was forbidden. Eöl went too in Gondolin and asked for his wife and child back. But Aredhel and Maeglin did not want to return. Hearing this, he threw a toxic spear to kill his son, Maeglin. Aredhel ran in front of the spear and was wounded. And Aredhel died that day. Thereupon, he was sentenced to death in Eöl and was killed in a short time.
