In Diyarbakır, the communities first lived in the Chipped Stone Age. The first known village in the world is in Diyarbakır. In Mesolithic period, the communities lived in Diyarbakir. Many artifacts from these ages were found in the caves in Diyarbakır.
In 3000 BC, the Hittites began to govern Diyarbakir. And Diyarbakir has been a city of the Hittite kingdom for many years. Later, Diyarbakir was conquered by the Assyrians. However, many states tried to conquer Diyarbakir. And in many states managed to conquer Diyarbakir.
After the 2nd century, the Roman Empire conquered Diyarbakir. After the collapse of the Roman empire, the Byzantine Empire began to govern Diyarbakir. But then Diyarbakir was conquered by the Arabs.
