I just finished a 9.534km running that lasted about 0hh:46mm:16ss !
Road conditions were worse than yesterday, even more changing. Very difficult to maintain a constant pace, between the faster stretches where snow had been well cleaned up, and snowy sections where I couldn't get much traction. I couldn't wear my spikes for this run because I saw earlier more roads were clean. That allowed me to go anywhere, but the icy and snowy parts were very tricky, and just exhausting. The last mile particularly, and that's visible on the pace curve that dropped. Overall pace was slightly faster than yesterday, but still quite slow. Again with these conditions, that's expected. I doubt I would have had enough motivation for almost 6 miles if it wasn't for the fact I'm gonna have to stay off running and other strenuous activities for at least a week.
I was quite sore from yesterday run, particularly my quads again. Like I said a few runs ago, my quads are very rarely a problem for me, but they were burning today for some reason. At least, I felt good again with my breathing, and the run in general.
This run brought my total for January to 126km. By far my best of all time for January, but that's not a high bar, since I only started training consistently less than a year ago.
That forced week off (at least, I'm worried it may be more) should be a perfect time to get plenty of rest and do gentle stretches, but knowing myself, it probably won't happen.
Keep Exhausting!
