@dannewton just finished a 7.02km walk, that lasted for 80 minutes.
This walk helped dannewton burn 504.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Recovery is going pretty well so far, no running, just walking and keeping active. I was pretty tired after the event (for obvious reasons!) with disrupted sleep, and feeling generally run down. I also picked up a snotty cold from somewhere, but that is now going away
Sleep is gradually improving, and my resting heart rate is now back down to a more usual level. I made a mistake 2 years ago when I ran 50k for the first time, but getting back to running too soon. I ended up with a calf injury that took 6 months to finally heal. No running planned until next week at least, but the regular walking will be useful as part of the recovery
And yes I know I promised a proper post about my run, but it has taken a while to process what has happened... and gradually feeling more positive about the whole experience. Speaking of which, thanks to Sophie, for the little pep talk earlier today, I appreciated hearing words of wisdom from someone who has previously completed the event :-)

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
