Hey Actifitters,

I know it's Caturday but like last week, I will start with deer. After a very late start (it was a holiday for Juneteenth, but I still had a couple meetings in the morning and just went back to bed afterwards...), we found two males just grazing in the front yard.

I kept Kaia in the house at first and they really didn't seem to mind me.

Beautiful antlers!

After a while, I went to get Kaia, but kept her on-leash of course. After a few barks, they decided to leave and joined a third one that I hadn't seen near the small forest.

alt

That was also our cue to start our daily walk near the forest.

alt

As usual, Kaia was like "we're going in or what?..."

alt

But Le Chat was right behind us, so we waited for her first.

alt

And finally entered the forest. We often go later in the day with less light, but it's pretty cool too when the sun can really get through the canopy.

After a couple loops, we were surprised to find Le Chat all this way deep in the forest. Like I mentioned many times, she usually waits for us at the edge. I guess she just really wanted to hang out with her sister.

alt

And unlike Kaia who still isn't allowed to, she had a nice obstacles jumping session just before we exited the forest.

alt

Kaia seemed okay, and since it's been a full month since she started the anti inflammatory and reduced activity, I thought it was time for a visit to the bigger forest. Nothing much changed there, just super green and as beautiful as ever.

alt

After a month, lots of scents for Kaia to check out.

alt

We didn't want to overdo it, so after just a few minutes, Kaia led us out and back home.

alt

That was a tiring day for Le Chat and Kaia, so I left them at home and went for a run. The weather wasn't bad for it, sunny but not hot, even kind of cool. I only went for a little over 5k though, because my knee is still bothering me a bit and it was almost nighttime anyways.

alt

Unfortunately Kaia was apparently in pain in the evening, and really limping. So she's definitely not ready for longer walks even though she looks fine, and not really limping, as long as we stay on easy terrain, like the neighborhood streets. Time for another visit to the vet unfortunately.
As for my step count, between the longer walk and the run, it was much better and enough to pass the bar in #poprzeczka, yay!!

alt

As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
