Last Friday I debuted in poetry reading...
It all started some days ago when I approached some friends at a cafe where they were talking about this new literature movement called "Sin Remitente", and between one thing and another, they invited me to join.
I write, but I'm super reserved with it. I dare to say I'm a bit unconfident. And I thought it would be a good idea to join and leave my fears behind, so I accepted their invitation.
At the event they were planning to make, every member had to read either an original poem, or an already existing one. I've never written poetry, I feel narrative is my style, so I read "Táctica y Estrategia" (Tactic and strategy) by Mario Benedetti, which is a beautiful poem.
It was ok. My aunt Malvina, who knows a lot about literature and poetry reading, says I have to keep practicing, but for a first time, I'm happy with what I did. ✨
It was definitely an unique experience! I'm so glad I did it. I was a bit nervous, because I tend to get tonged tied when I read out loud... Even when I speak normally lol.
I hope they keep making events like this one, cause they're super relaxing and with such good vibes
