Today I did something beautiful. I let my imagination fly, and let my hand be my guide. It felt super satisfying, and I think the result was great. You judge:
It's been a while since the last time I drew. I missed it.
Today my parents and I went to visit my aunt Malvina, and she has a huge box of Prismacolor pencils, so I felt the vibe of drawing something, so I sat down, took a pencil and made the first sketch.
I had no idea of what I wanted. I didn't even have a picture as a guide. I just improvised each move, which is not something I am used to do. I usually take a picture as a guide, or think a lot of what I want and how I want it, but this time was different.
To this point of the drawing, all I knew was that it was a bald, pink, she LOL
So I continued with the darker pink shadows. I felt like making one side dark and the other light.
Then I thought: "So, she's an alien... She needs some blush". And took the fluorescent yellow hahaha. I also used that yellow to add some light to the lips.
Then I made the eyebrows and a little shadow under the eye. I wanted that to be green so it looked weird, but the color I used was pretty much like the yellow, so I took the turquoise and mixed them to make something that looks pretty much like green. The point is that it highlights, so... Mission accomplished.
Then, I started with the background. First I added some grey to the corners of the doll, then my hand took the blue, and after that, the purple... I swear it was very relaxing to let everything flow.
I had planned to make the eyelashes and the details with a fine marker, bit I had done that a lot in other drawings, so I changed my mind and used a darker pink and purple for the lashes, the eyeshadow and the brows.
Here's a pic from near. And the final result, which is above.
I don't even know why she doesn't have iris, I just felt she didn't. And I trust my inner artist LOL
What do you think?
