Very good morning my dear people of the artistic community, happy Friday for everyone and I hope you have had a great week, today I come with a work a little more relaxed, I have already drawn several weeks on very specific themes, and I wanted to try something different and paint a work without a particular theme and just letting the inspection was the protagonist. This time I started to draw free strokes and that's how I gradually created this character which I called by the name of Maria Jose (Majo), which is a kind of country woman, who is walking the meadows and roads near her country house:
Muy buenos días mi querida gente de la comunidad artística, feliz viernes para todos y espero que hayan pasado una semana genial, hoy vengo con una obra un poco más relax, tengo ya varias semanas dibujado sobre temáticas muy específicas, y ya quería probar algo distinto y pintar una obra sin temática en particular y solo dejando que la inspección fuera protagonista. En esta ocasión me puse a realizar trazos libres y así fue como poco a poco fui creando a este personaje al cual llamé por el nombre de María José (Majo), la cual es una especie de mujer de campo, que se encuentra recorriendo las praderas y caminos cercanos a su casa de campo:

I started the sketch of this character as I mentioned before without having anything planned, I just let my inspiration guide me with each stroke, but keeping my usual structure and style; in this case I decided to create the sketch not in full body, but in half body, with the upper part of her torso as the main character; and giving the perspective and idea that Majo is walking and that she is walking from the back to the front of the canvas. I always like to define well the sketch with a final line-art before starting to apply the colors because it makes it easier for me to paint better, well what I did as usual was to start painting the skin and in this case I took as a base color a medium brown tone that I already have in my color palette saved, and on that base tone I applied new colors with a little more intensity to create what would be the details and the basic shape of the face with the eyelids, nose and so on.
Inicie el bocetado de este personaje como les mencione antes sin tener nada planificado, solo dejado que mi inspiración me guiara con cada trazo, pero eso si manteniendo mi estructura y estilo habitual; en este caso me dio por crear el boceto no a cuerpo completo, sino a cuerpo medio, con la parte superior de su torso como protagonista; y dando la perspectiva e idea de que Majo se encuentra caminando y que viene caminando desde la parte de atrás hacia el frente del lienzo. Siempre me gusta definir bien el boceto con un line-art final antes de comenzar a aplicar los colores ya que me facilita un mejor pintado, bueno lo que hice como es costumbre fue iniciar pintando la piel y en este caso tome como color base un tono medio marrón que ya tengo en mi paleta de colores guardado, y sobre ese tono base fui aplicado nuevos colores con un poco mas de intensidad para ir creando lo que serian los detalles y la forma básica del rostro con los parpados, nariz y demás.
The process of painting the skin I try to make it very detailed and I take my time to make it look as good as possible, and once I get the desired result then I can focus on creating warmth in the cheeks by painting a little blush; especially in this part I like to create what would be the details of the lips and eyes with a little light volume. To create the volume of the eyes what I do is to use the watercolor brush, this to define a texture a little rougher in comparison to the softer texture that I do for the lips; with the volume of the eyes well defined I can then move on to the painting of the inner iris of the eyes that in this case I decided that they were of intense green tone, and with this besides achieving good contrast, I also managed to make the character more striking.
El proceso de pintado de la piel lo trato de hacer muy detallado y me tomo mi tiempo para que quede lo mejor posible, y una vez obtengo el resultado deseado ahí sí puedo centrarme bien en crear calidez en las mejillas pintando un poco de rubor; sobre todo en esta parte me gusta crear lo que seria los detalles de los labios y de los ojos con un poco de volumen leve. Para crear el volumen de los ojos lo que hago es usar el pincel de acuarela, esto para ir definiendo una textura un poco más áspera en comparación a la textura más suave que hago para los labios; con el volumen de los ojos bien definido ya luego puedo pasarme al pintado del iris interno de los ojos que en este caso decidí que fuesen de tonalidad verde intensa, y con esto además de lograr buen contraste, también logré hacer más llamativa al personaje.
The hair in this case I wanted it to be a grayish color, but not a gray as if Majo was an older person, but a gray that was more platinum and uncommon, something that basically gave a striking touch and at the same time unique to this character; I started working the grays from the darkest and little by little I got a platinum as I had in mind at the beginning. After finishing with the hair, eyebrows and others I could focus entirely on the clothes of the character, in this case I wanted it to be a dress a little according to what would be the field and so I worked with a lot of brown tone, for the upper body I created a kind of blouse with long sleeves and only a little thin fabric; for the lower part I created more like a kind of long skirt that would complement the upper part, but this one with a little more worked and thicker texture.
El pelo en este caso quise que fuese de un color grisáceo, pero no un gris como si Majo fuese una persona mayor, si no un gris que fuese más platinado y poco común, algo que básicamente le diera un toque llamativo y a la vez único a este personaje; comencé trabajando los grises desde los más oscuros y poco a poco conseguí un platinado como el que tenia en mente en un inicio. Después de terminar con el pelo, cejas y demás me pude centrar enteramente en la ropa del personaje, en este caso quería que fuese una vestimenta un poco acorde a lo que seria el campo y por ello trabaje con mucha tonalidad marrón, para la parte superior del cuerpo cree una especie de blusa de mangas largas y con tela solo un poco delgada; para la parte baja cree más como una especie de falda larga que hiciera complemento con la parte de superior, pero esta si con una textura un poco más trabajada y gruesa.
For the scenery of my work I wanted to represent as best as possible that the character lives in the countryside and therefore I was more inclined to paint a kind of property or country road covered by tall grayish brown bushes; and I also created with some grass and weeds to give a little mystery to this place where Majo is walking. My idea here was to give the impression that Majo is walking along this path when night is about to fall; also another thing I did for this point was to start applying a couple of effects or layer modes to darken some points and shade the bushes, but I also applied some glows and highlights to highlight the girl a little more.
Para el escenario de mi obra quise representar lo mejor posible que el personaje vive en el campo y por ello me incline más por pintar una especie de predio o camino de campo cubierto por arbustos altos de color marrón grisáceo; y también cree con un poco de pasto y maleza que le dieran un poco de misterio a este lugar por donde Majo se encuentra caminado. Mi idea aquí era que diera la impresión de que Majo se encuentra caminando por este camino cuando está a punto de caer la noche; también otra cosa que hice para este punto fue comenzar a aplicar un par de efectos o modos de capa para oscurecer algunos puntos y darles sombra a los arbustos, pero también aplique algunos efectos de brillos y luces para resaltar un poco más a la chica.
