I am very exciting to tell you my story today because I just found the Thai desserts restaurant that I am looking for it for a very long time. It’s called,

“BUA LOY KAMPANGDIN

This Thai Desserts Restaurant locates in Chiangmai, the big city in the north of Thailand, on the Kanpangdin road. near the Chiangmai Night Bazaar.

I go to Chiangmai so many times because I have a few relations who live there and they are recommended me to go and try some desserts at this place but I didn’t have a chance to visit this place yet. But I made it this time.

“Bua Loy Kampangdin” is a very famous Thai Desserts restaurant in the online media. Many people are finding it and love to try some of those desserts to see if they are as great as people said.

The Atmosphere

The restaurant is in a townhouse, the lower part of the house is dessert restaurant. The upper floor is an owner’s residence. The front of the restaurant is the cooking part and the desserts ordered area. You can write your order here and walk inside to take a seat, it’s a small enter but it’s easy to queue up though.

I don’t curious why it’s so popular in the online media when I see how many people were queuing in front of the place. We’ve got the tables right after ordered because we get there quite late about 9 pm. so, it wasn’t the busy time.

If you don’t like all those choices, then you can mixed your own style from the ingredients here. There are also other kind of Thai desserts, some cakes, fruit juice and herbal tea.

**You might wonder what is the Bua Loy is...

Bua Loy: ขนมบัวลอย is the Sticky rice pearls in coconut milk with light syrup.

You can add some corn, taro in it but poached egg is my favorite one.

One of the restaurant’s recommendation, I don’t really know what it call in English.

My Opinion

The taste is really delicious, not so sweet. The sticky rice pearls are very soft. It's worth for the long search.
The price is not expensive at all. Start at 15-45 ฿. depends on the mixers.
Good service even there were a lot of people queued up but we didn’t have to wait for long time to get our desserts.
The place is a bit too small when busy time. You have to wait long to get the seat.
No parking area, you have to find a place to park in front of the restaurant beside the road.
