Well, it was also my first one. As a matter of fact, I did not know when Bitcoin Pizza Day was up until yesterday when I thought I was celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day after I read a few messages on Discord.
In my timezone, I was a day too late already, when I learned of Bitcoin Pizza Day. I knew of the case, of course, but not of the date and of the trend to celebrate it.

Doing some research, I found This Article about the man who started it and his motives. And that was quite what I thought it would be.
Do you think of it as a mistake? Or as the act of a visionary who sacrifices for the greater good.
Anyway,
I am not one to attribute too much emotional value to official celebrations. There is some thrill but I only feel it is strange to forget about the things we celebrate on a certain date during the rest of the year...
And I had not forgotten about Bitcoin, not at all for the duration of these few months of crisis. It did actually help me a bit (and a coin). Yes, I am still trying to hodl more than what I convert and it is in both cases trifle amounts as many of you would see it. But it was a fact. I had the paper stuff in my pocketses, some of my humble hodlings converted first into Ds from the USs of A into my national currency. And we were already two adults and a kid on the streets so I decided it was time we found a Pizza restaurant and see what those BTCs tasted like.
We sat at a newfound restaurant in the neighborhood next door, we ordered two 24 cm pizzas and two bottles of Czech beer. I left a tip that was double the standard around here. I paid in Bulgarian money that came to my bank account from Bittrex. The equivalent cost of about 180 000 Satoshis or 0.0018 BTC. Or 16.7 USD.
We needed those two pizzas as the world needed those other two pizzas back in 2010.
