Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another amazingly amazing Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying a blissful and energetic day with your loved ones. Now, if you are actively engaging in this Web3 card-based strategy game on a daily basis, then I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and frontier season as well. If we take a quick look at the season's clock, there are still 9 days left before this season ends, so it is time to give our best in the remaining battles and reach our set goal. Whether you are playing to reach a particular league tier or fighting hard for a glorious spot on the top Champion leaderboard, I hope you reach there quicker this time.
Now, talking about me, I am currently playing in the Gold I league with 3,480 trophies, and my next target is to reach 4,000 trophies. There are still 9 days left in this season, so I will keep pushing forward and try my best to reach that goal and let's see how far I can go this time. Moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 24 entries, and there are still 3 days and 23 hours left before the raffle ends. My target is to reach somewhere between 54 and 57 entries this time, so obviously I still have some work to do to reach that target, but there is enough time to collect more entries, so I will keep trying with a calm mind.
Now, talking about my daily activity, today marks my 157th consecutive streak day in the daily frontier wheel. Gladly, I also received a new skin named Vega Outfit, which is a nice little surprise! My total Sparks balance is now 23,029, and I will continue playing and collecting rewards as long as possible.
I also opened 5 Foundation packs earned from the last two days' frontier mission rewards. This time, I got 1 Legendary card, 1 Epic card, and 5 Rare cards, along with 1 Common Gold Foil card, while the remaining cards were regular Foil Commons. Getting a Legendary and a Gold Foil Common adds a little bonus to the opening. Not a bad pull at all, I would say!
Thessok Hunter
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting card from the newest Extra card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Thessok Hunter. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
Thessok Hunter is a monster-type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the latest Extra edition card set. This monster belongs to the Saurian bloodline and comes from the fire element. It uses Melee attacks and costs 7 Mana, so you can use it when playing medium to large mana limit matches. Although 7 Mana is not exactly a low cost, its strong attack, growing Speed and large Health bar help justify the investment. At its maximum level, this monster possesses 4 abilities, making it a powerful option to hunt down dangerous enemy attackers with ease. As a Common card, you will need 400 CC cards to upgrade Thessok Hunter to its maximum level. Let's now take a look at its stats and abilities at different league levels.
BRONZE
At Level 3, Thessok Hunter possesses 3 Melee attack, 3 Speed and 6 Health, along with 2 abilities. Even at the Bronze level, this beast has a good attack and a dependable Health pool, making it a solid option for battles where we need a strong attacker.
APEX STRIKE – Targets the enemy unit with the most Power.
PIERCING – Damage in excess of the target's Armor is applied to Health.
SILVER
At Level 5, Thessok Hunter possesses 4 Melee attack, 4 Speed and 6 Health. Its attack increases to 4, and its Speed also improves to 4, making it a more dangerous attacker. These improved stats help it put more pressure on the opponent without sacrificing its existing Health.
GOLD
At Level 8, Thessok Hunter possesses 4 Melee attack, 5 Speed and 7 Health. Its Speed increases again, reaching 5, while its Health also improves. At this level, it gains another useful ability that gives it an opportunity to act before the first round begins.
AMBUSH – Takes an extra turn before the first round of battle begins.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
At Level 10, Thessok Hunter possesses 4 Melee attack, 5 Speed and 8 Health. At its maximum level, this monster gains another bloodline-focused ability that can help allied Saurian units grow stronger as they defeat enemies, although it also introduces some risks when units are defeated.
BLOODLINE PACT – Allied units that share this unit's bloodline gain +1 Power whenever any of them defeats an enemy and take 1 True Damage whenever any of them is defeated. If this unit is defeated, allied units sharing its bloodline receive 2 damage and lose all Power gained from this ability.
My Opinion About the Monster
In my opinion, Thessok Hunter is really a powerful Melee attacker that offers a great combination of serious damage, increasing Speed and a dependable Health pool for 7 Mana. If you are playing medium Mana battles and need a monster that can deal heavy damage while staying in the fight, this beast is certainly worth considering. The first thing I like about Thessok Hunter is its solid attack and Health. Even at Bronze, it has 3 Melee attack and 6 Health, which is a pretty good starting point for a monster that costs 7 Mana. At higher levels, its attack reaches 4, its Speed increases to 5, and its Health grows to 8. Next, the Apex Strike is a very interesting ability because it targets the enemy unit with the most Power. This ability makes it a useful option when the opponent has a powerful unit that we want to eliminate quickly. Taking down that key attacker can reduce the pressure on our team and help us gain control of the battle. The Piercing ability is also a great addition that helps prevent damage from being wasted when the target has Armor. Any damage that exceeds the target's Armor is applied to its Health, making Thessok Hunter a useful choice against armoured opponents. At Gold, Ambush makes this monster even more interesting by allowing it to take an extra turn before the first round begins. Getting an additional opportunity to act before the regular battle rounds start can give your team an early advantage and put pressure on the opponent right from the beginning. Finally, Bloodline Pact is a powerful ability when Thessok Hunter is used alongside other Saurian monsters. Allied units sharing its bloodline gain additional Power whenever any of them defeats an enemy, allowing the team to become stronger as the battle progresses. However, there is a trade-off because allied units sharing the bloodline also take True Damage whenever one of them is defeated.
Overall, Thessok Hunter looks like a strong Fire monster for players who enjoy aggressive Melee strategies. Its long list of advantages, including Attack, Speed, Piercing, Apex Strike and Ambush, make it a dangerous opponent, while Bloodline Pact offers additional potential when paired with the right allies. If you are looking for a powerful attacker for medium-Mana battles, Thessok Hunter is definitely a monster worth keeping an eye on!
