In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market and the price WTI and Brent crude oil.
With what has happened over the major Central Banks of the world over the last few months I will be covering the subject of hyperinflation. So in this video, I go over the difference between inflation as we know it and hyperinflation and how they are completely different.
The key aspect of hyperinflation is that it has no relation to the traditional cost-push inflation but is actually triggered by a general loss of confidence and faith in the currency. With the realisation that Central Bankers will never be able to normalise monetary policy to pre-2008 conditions I feel we are getting closer to the point where that confidence is lost.
My conclusion is it is impossible to prepare for a hyperinflationary event once it starts and that unless you protect yourself financially beforehand by trying to get out of the monetary and financial system as much as possible.
