Today let's come back to 1969 with this icon British car and the birth of the legend brand...
The car? The Mini Mark III
Launched in 1969, Mini Mark 3 quickly becomes the reference of the brand with 1.2L 4 cylinders 77 HP for 692 kg (1526 lbs). The balance between the weight and power makes this car go from 0-100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 10.9s. Isn't it great for 69?
Did you know?
The original two-door small car was manufactured since 1959 by British Motor Corporation and sold under the brand "Austin Mini" and "Morris Mini". It's only 10 years later, it became the separate trade marque.
Since 2000, Mini became a part of BMW and it is from that year that the original mini started to change.
Today you will find more than a simple Mini... Now there are Mini Hardtop, Mini Clubman, Mini Cooper S, Mini Roadster, Mini Countryman... and more to come.
Enjoy ;)
