I'm back with a new Wednesday Walk 🙂 Autumn has definitely started here in Sweden, even though September was unusually warm. The colors have started to shift, even though it's still rather green outside. Especially the grass, due to all the rain this Summer. But it hasn't rained that much lately and I have really enjoyed the start of this season, with many rather warm sunny days.

Last Sunday I visited my mom (it's still new to me that I can just go and see her over the day because I live so close now). My autistic brother was also visiting (he does that every weekend) and usually he and mom go for a walk before lunch. That is if he wants to go for a walk, sometimes he gets angry for some reason (could be anything really and then he doesn't want to do anything). You can never know...

But nothing like that happened last weekend and off we went on a sunny walk 🙂

My mom and Markus (my brother) have maybe 5 different walks or something that they alternate between and this one I actually hadn't been on this year so perfect for me.

The only house (cottage) along this walk and road.

It's basically a dirt road with no traffic whatsoever.

It's nice because there are also open fields along this road.

You can still find some wildflowers in bloom, but soon all will be gone.

'Ved', which means firewood, was written on this pile of logs. Luckily I already have plenty of firewood in my woodshed.

The birches have been the first trees to lose their leaves. Not completely yet but as you can see their leaves are mostly yellow.

But as you can see, it's mostly still green overall outside.

But yes, there are also already some beautiful red leaves, plenty more of these to come 🙂

And the forest is still so green. So beautiful with the moss. Not many mushrooms left though. I think it actually got too wet. I have seen many waterlogged chanterelles lately. But I'm not complaining, I have picked and eaten so many chanterelles this season; I have kind of had enough anyway 🙂 (And I still have a lot in the freezer).

It was a lovely day for a walk. As I have shared before, I don't go on as many walks now when I live in the countryside as I did in Stockholm. But it's a great way to relax.
