The Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world for 41 years. It was built in two years, two months and five days, and at the time generated some controversy among the artists of the time, who saw it as an iron monster.
Today it serves, as well as tourist attraction.
The structure did not have the support of the Parisians, to such an extent that it was agreed to dismantle it in 1900, which finally did not happen.
