**ENGLISH**
At the beginning of the week my son wanted to go to lunch at McDonald's, but since I had not yet received my week's salary, I offered him that we would go there on Friday without fail. And since what I promise I always keep (whether it is good or bad, so if I tell you that there is a punishment for some non-compliance, then it becomes effective) we went to the place after a truncated diligence to renew his Argentinean Identity Card.
His first option was to ask for the happy box, but I replied because he is always hungry and if the justification was the toy, just days before he himself decided to give them all away! But Fabrizzio was determined, he wanted nuggets from the box and told me that he would rather ask for the book, which he had never done before.
As soon as we got the tray with the order, he took the book and devoured it long before he started eating. I was surprised at how quickly she did it, since at her school they are not really that incisive with the subject, but that is a topic for another post.
He finished eating and I finished drinking the coffee I had ordered, since I preferred to eat at home on the way back as I also had to cook for my oldest son who had stayed there.
On the way back I asked him what the story was about and he did not know how to comment on it, so I had to teach him to interpret, summarize and comment on what he had read. But he is in the process and for me that is enough: to make him curious about reading, to help him improve his diction and, if he wishes, to become an active reader, because these last generations really lack interest in reading and knowing the world through letters.
His change in the choice between the book and the toy was magical and indicated to me that my child is not only growing up, but that he is a good negotiator when it comes to getting what he wants.
