Winter Olympics: Fans leap to Nathan Chen's defense
US figure skater Nathan Chen was tipped to win figure skating gold at Pyeongchang. He'd quite recently won the US national figure skating title for the second year consecutively in January 2018 and he'd stunned the two fans and judges with his perplexing fourfold bounces
Amid his execution on Friday in the men's short program, he fell, on the greater part of his bounces.
The frigid tumbles left him in seventeenth place and could spell the finish of his award dreams.
So where did everything turn out badly?
Addressing the media after his show, Chen stated: "Truly, it was terrible. I committed the greatest number of errors as I could have.
"I figured I did everything right going into this, things simply didn't click together.
