Enki Bilal is a comic artist (and a movie director too) that we love. He was born in Belgrade (Serbia) in the 1951, but he moved to Paris when he was 9 years.
Thanks to his talent in comic art and after he met Renè Goscinny, he published the first story "Le bal maudit" in 1972.
The most famous work of Bilal is the Nikopol trilogy (a science fiction graphic novel), he created the script and the artworks, but all the trilogy was completed in about a decade, from 1980 to 1992!

The trilogy is composed by the following chapters: Gods in Chaos, The Woman Trap, and Cold Equator. This last chapter was the book of the year by the magazine Lire.
The story in this graphic novel talk about Nikopol, that as floated in the space for 30 years in a cryo-preservation state. When he come back on the Earth after 2 nuclear wars there are full of strange things above the city of Paris!
