Can do both. There are people who have built domain front ends to their Hive sites, it makes for a very decent CMS. So far I only see Leo really going for that in a big way.

But for me the “bet” is Hive will meet and then exceed the Steem ATH. That will make powering down for a LOT of people a decent income compared to the USA average.
