It is amazingly hard to get attention, it's a numbers game. On social media only about 1% of followers will click "like" on your content. We all know many will do it without actually reading, so how many you think are actually reading?

That means it takes about 1,000,000 followers to just get 10,000 likes. Most people won't even get 10,000 followers, much less 10,000 likes.

My point is, social media is very hard as there is so much noise. I've said it many times, Hive is the easiest social media I have ever seen. No where can someone come and make $100+ on their first post and get regular support going forward.

That being said, when I got here, it wasn't like that. My first 10 posts added up to around 30 cents, perhaps less. Now curators are starving for new authors to support. With recent hard fork changes, it is less beneficial to just vote the top rewarded (notice I didn't say top content) content to get the best return. Previously you had to vote within 5 minutes to maintain a bulk of the rewards from your influence (stake). Now you are free to vote with your heart.

While many joke no one reads here, I know for a fact many do. On other platforms where I have had tens of thousands of followers, I get around the same response counts as I do on Hive with just a fraction of the followers.
