Are these valuable? 🤷‍♂️

The situation with hive projects is similar to a lot of funding "out there" in the rest of the world. I was reading about how scientists continuously couldn't get funding for research into bees until it became an international news story where politicians and citizens were demanding answers and were asking why scientists didn't have an explanation.

Regular folks don't always know which way to vote. A lot of the time it takes someone to champion a project, but often the best communicators win rather than the most valuable project.

Over at DeSo, there are some people upset that their dev fund seemed to go to the teams who were already winning, kind of like giving the rich kids all the prizes.

A mixture of a committee (council?) and community vote seems a good compromise, but no solution would be perfect.
