Hello friends, I hope you are well, I am excited because I just found this community and I love museums, so this will be my first post here. I would like to take you to know a beautiful art museum called Carmelo Fernandez, which I had the pleasure to visit a few months ago there in the city of San Felipe, Yaracuy state in Venezuela (my country) I went there for an event that made me very happy, the publication of my first book 馃槂. When I arrived at the building I loved it because it is made of bricks, which gives it a very nice appearance and there is a particularly peaceful aura in that place.
Hola amigos, espero que est茅n bien, yo estoy emocionada porque acabo de encontrar esta comunidad y yo amo los museos, as铆 que este ser谩 mi primer post aqu铆. Me gustar铆a llevarlos a conocer un precioso museo de arte llamado Carmelo Fern谩ndez, el cual tuve el placer de visitar hace unos meses all谩 en la ciudad de San Felipe, estado Yaracuy en Venezuela (mi pa铆s) fui a prop贸sito de un evento que me hizo muy feliz, la publicaci贸n de mi primer libro 馃槂. Al llegar al edificio me encant贸 porque est谩 hecho de ladrillos, lo que le da una apariencia muy bonita y se respira un aura particularmente apacible en ese lugar.
The first thing that caught my attention is that the lobby also serves as an auditorium when there are important musical events, for example, that day there was going to be a concert of the symphony of the state of Yacuy. The people in charge of the museum invited us but unfortunately we could not attend because it would be at four o'clock in the afternoon and at that time we would be doing something else. The natural ferns hanging from the upper floor also caught my attention and they are not only part of the decoration but they are very much in line with the exhibition that was taking place at that time, which has a lot to do with nature (it is a pity that you can not perceive but the ferns had some very small and beautiful flowers).
Lo primero que llam贸 mi atenci贸n es que el vest铆bulo sirve tambi茅n como auditorio cuando hay eventos musicales importantes, por ejemplo, ese d铆a iba a haber un concierto de la sinf贸nica del estado Yacacuy. Los encargados del museo nos invitaron pero lamentablemente no pudimos asistir porque ser铆a a las cuatro de la tarde y a esa hora estar铆amos haciendo otra cosa. Tambi茅n llamaron poderosamente mi atenci贸n los helechos naturales que colgaban del piso superior y que no solo son parte de la decoraci贸n sino que est谩n muy acordes con la exhibici贸n que se estaba llevando a cabo en ese momento, la cual tiene mucho que ver con la naturaleza (es una l谩stima que no se pueda percibir pero los helechos ten铆an algunas flores muy peque帽as y bonitas.)
My mom and I were in awe of the place, we would have loved to be there for the concert, but we had other things to do.
Mi mam谩 y yo est谩bamos maravilladas con ese lugar, nos hubiese gustado estar presentes para el concierto, pero ten铆amos otras cosas qu茅 hacer.
Something that caught my attention as soon as I saw it was the exhibition of this sculpture, which when I saw it immediately made me think of a spider, but according to the descriptive card it says that it is called Marabunta, so it is an ant, below it there are some more ants and others that are climbing up the wall, on the other hand it also made me think of a mother protecting her young. Anyway, art is subjective, so everyone can give it a different interpretation, it may even differ greatly from what the author wanted to convey with his work. It is made almost 90% with natural elements such as sticks, branches and stones, but also with glass.
Algo que llam贸 much铆simo mi atenci贸n en cuanto la vi fue la exhibici贸n de esta escultura, la cu谩l al verla inmediatamente me hizo pensar en una ara帽a, pero seg煤n la ficha descriptiva dice que se llama Marabunta, as铆 que es una hormiga, debajo de ella hay algunas hormigas m谩s y otras que se est谩n subiendo por la pared, por otra parte tambi茅n me hizo pensar en una madre protegiendo a sus cr铆as. De todos modos el arte es subjetivo, as铆 que cada quien puede darle una interpretaci贸n diferente, incluso puede diferir mucho de lo que el autor quiso transmitir con su obra. Esta elaborada casi en un 90% con elementos naturales como palos, ramas y piedras pero tambi茅n con vidrio.
I am not a fan of this type of art but I must admit that it is equally beautiful, besides, I have always thought that the beauty of art is in its diversity, everyone can find a different context when looking at a piece of art.
Esta era una sala muy amplia que exhib铆a obras abstractas y en su mayor铆a mosaicos, no soy fan de este tipo de arte pero debo reconocer que es igualmente bonito, adem谩s, siempre he pensado que lo hermoso del arte est谩 en su diversidad, cada quien puede hallar un contexto distinto al mirar una pieza de arte.

And before the lobby there is a nice bookstore with lots of natural light, it was there where the event of the presentation of my first book took place, it was in digital format, that's why I hold a cell phone with the cover of the book. I really like that in this museum they have created a space also for literature because this is also an art.
Y antes del vest铆bulo hay una librer铆a bonita con mucha luz natural, fue all铆 donde se llev贸 a cabo el evento de la presentaci贸n de mi primer libro, fue en formato digital, por eso sostengo un celular con la portada del libro. Me gusta mucho que en este museo hayan creado un espacio tambi茅n para la literatura porque esto tambi茅n es un arte.
Visiting the museum was truly a great experience that I will never forget, not only because it was the scene of one of my dreams come true, but because there is an aura of culture, art and relaxation. I am very happy to have found this beautiful community. Thank you so much for reading my post. 馃槉
