Staking Reddcoin
When you buy Reddcoin and you keep them in your wallet (unlocked for staking) then you get free Reddcoin just for keeping them. This is called staking (proof of stake). Here I will explain how to get started with Reddcoin and staking.
First we need to install the Reddcoin wallet. This can be downloaded from their official website: https://reddcoin.com/get-started/
After downloading install the wallet. When you open the wallet the first time then it will download the blockchain. This is around 4 GB so this will take some time.
Now go to an exchange, buy some Reddcoin and send them to your new wallet. In the wallet click File > Receive Address to see your address where you have to send the coins to.
After some time you will the coins in your wallet. Now they need to mature before you receive free coins. This will take around 2 days. You can see in how many days you will get a reward in the icons:
For receiving free coins you will need to unlock the wallet, only for staking. Settings > Unlock Wallet.
Now you can see the icon on the right bottom when you will receive your next rewards.
Don't forget to create a password for your wallet and take a backup.
