Five games we saw, unfortunately, postponed for launch this year
Choosing a launch date is one of the most difficult decisions that development studios need to make with every new project they want to launch. Usually this date is studied and games are promoted based on it but sometimes the studios also decide to postpone the launch date and delay it in order to ensure a better product - something that we all of us want . Today's report we will talk about five games we wished we could try this year, but their launch was delayed next year.
Babylon’s Fall
The Platinum Games Studio is known for the Bayonetta Series as well as other exciting games like Nier: Automata and Vanquish. The studio and Square Enix announced Babylon's Fall in 2018 and it was planned to release this year but the game has been hidden from view for a long time.
Everyone was waiting to see her at E3 2019, but she wasn't there. We got a new show earlier this month with a State of Play event that showed us the style of play that the studio has always created. Its new launch date has not been revealed and its release has not been confirmed next year yet, but the publishing company has promised to provide the oil with information that will often include the launch date for the E3 2020 event.
Psychonauts 2
Psychonauts 2 was first announced in 2015 and was scheduled to launch in 2018 and then was postponed to the following year, but developer Double Fine Productions announced a further delay to 2020.
In the second part of the beloved game released in 2005, which is also full of color, players will again control the character of Raz who uses his mental powers to enter the minds of others. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and will also come for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Skull & Bones
One of the great games that attracted me to the E3 2017 was the title of the new pirate Skull & Bones coming from Ubisoft, in May this year, the company stated that the game will not come before the spring of 2020. This was the second delay of the long-awaited pirate wars game.
Skull and Pons will be familiar to everyone who plays ship battles in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, where players must control the path of the ship, use the wind in their favor and launch cannons. The game will contain a group mode called “Hunting Grounds”. Ubisoft said the game is a "new title" and needs more time to "develop the creative outlook." The pirate game will be available to both PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One when released.
DOOM Eternal
The last part of the hit series was scheduled for release last month, but in October, its publisher Bethesda and Id Software Studio announced that the launch date would be postponed to March 20 next year in order to improve various aspects of the game and provide a product fit for the studio.
DOOM Eternal was first announced in 2018 and will continue the events of the previous segment released almost three years ago. Doom Eternal will be available on Playstation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
Atomic Heart
Atomic Heart may not be as popular as the Demon Slayer game above but it is one of the most memorable games and got the approval of first-person shooters when Russian studio Mundfish launched the first teaser that you can watch below.
Atomic Hearts has an alternate history between the 1960s and 1970s of the Soviet Union, when you watch the show you will feel the breeze of Bioshock and a little Fallout and Metro as it contains dead enemies, clown robots and strange creatures. It was planned to launch the game in 2018 and then it was postponed to 2019, but the game page on Steam Store says that the launch date will be announced after that, so we hope to see it next year on both the personal computer and the Playstation 4.
These were five games that were scheduled to release this year but unfortunately their launch date has been postponed to a later time, for sure other than these games mentioned above there are more like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Spelunky 2 and more. What is the most waiting game that was scheduled for this year and has been delayed?
