My breakfasts tend to vary, but there’s one simple combination I really like: carrots and onions. This combination is nutritious and tasty, and you can make it with the ingredients raw or sautéed.

You can also add other delicious flavours; I sautéed the carrots and onions with parsley and garlic butter, which adds flavour and aroma. I’ve served these vegetables on flatbread, which is easy to make, and here’s how to make it at home. INGREDIENTS - Flatbread: 1 kg wheat flour, 20 g salt, 50 g lard, 500 ml water. - Sautéed carrots: 1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon of garlic butter (chopped raw garlic, chopped parsley, butter and garlic paste), 1 tablespoon of oil, boiled egg, sesame seeds and salt. PROCEDURE

Making flatbread is easy; I like to have them ready and stored in the fridge. You just heat them up a little and they can be eaten with any protein, stew or vegetable stir-fry. To make them, place the flour in a bowl, add salt and lard, mix these ingredients together and add the water.

Knead until you have a firm dough that is easy to handle. Shape into balls of 45–46 grams, then flatten them with a rolling pin or a tortilla press; this makes 30 small flatbreads.

Cook them quickly on a hot griddle or frying pan, on both sides. Sautéed carrots: Cut the carrots into very thin strips and julienne the onion.

Heat the parsley butter and oil in a frying pan, add the onion, then the carrots, and sauté. Season with salt and pepper.

This combination is perfect for adding any type of protein; I added a boiled egg and a teaspoon of standard mayonnaise to give it a bit of creaminess. To finish, I added sesame seeds; you can also add chopped parsley.

Deliciosa zanahoria salteada para el desayuno

Mis desayunos suelen ser variados, hay una combinación sencilla que me gusta mucho, es la unión de zanahoria con cebolla, esta combinación es nutritiva y sabrosa, se puede hacer con los ingredientes crudos o salteados.

También puedes agregar más sabores deliciosos, yo hice el salteado de zanahoria y cebolla con mantequilla de perejil y ajo, esto aporta sabor y aroma. He servido estos vegetales sobre un pan plano, fácil de hacer y aquí te muestro cómo elaborarlo en casa. INGREDIENTES - Pan plano: 1 kilo de harina de trigo, 20 gramos de sal, 50 gramos de manteca de cerdo, 500 ml de agua. - Salteado de zanahoria: 1 zanahoria, 1 cebolla, 1 cucharada de mantequilla de ajo (ajo crudo picado, perejil picado, mantequilla y pasta de ajo), 1 cucharada de aceite, huevo cocido, semillas de sésamo y sal. PROCEDIMIENTO

Hacer pan plano es fácil, me gusta tenerlos listos y guardados en la nevera, solo se calientan un poco y se pueden consumir con cualquier proteína, guiso o un salteado de vegetales. Para hacerlos colocamos la harina en un bowl, añadimos sal y manteca, unir éstos ingredientes y agregar el agua

Amasamos hasta que se logré una masa compacta y fácil de manipular. Hacemos bolitas de 45 - 46 gramos, luego hacemos la forma plana con un rodillo o un aplastador de tortillas, obtenemos 30 panes planos pequeños.

Se cocinan rápidamente en una plancha o sartén caliente, por ambos lados. Salteado de zanahoria: Cortar la zanahoria en tiras muy delgadas, la cebolla la cortamos en juliana.

En un sartén caliente colocamos la mantequilla de perejil y el aceite, añadimos la cebolla, luego la zanahoria y salteamos, terminamos con sal y pimienta.

La combinación es perfecta para agregar cualquier tipo de proteína, yo le coloque huevo cocido y una cucharadita de mayonesa común para que se sienta un poquito de cremosidad, para finalizar le agrego semillas de sésamo, puedes colocar perejil picado también.
