We found this little fuzzy bird @ 11pm in the middle of the parking lot, not able to fly away. He looked abandoned, after waiting for a long time and with no sign of his parents, we decided to take him home. I think I was more afraid to pick him up then he was of me picking him up, but I felt I had to…..so we took him home. He did survive the night and I was so happy! After researching on-line how to care for him, first thing in the morning we fed the bird, he started to feel better and better after each meal and actually I noticed he finally relaxed a bit. A part of me wanted to keep him but the other part knew I would not be able to properly care for him. We had to take him to the Raptor Trust, Millington NJ. They will care for the bird and release when ready.
