Maybe someday: ) One of the great challenges of visual art is to always see with new eyes. When looking at a piece in progress, the brain tries to fill in details that aren't there, so looking at it for more than a few seconds means you're essentially seeing an optical illusion made from memory and imagination. Just seeing what is requires a commitment to the present moment at the level of biological perception. This is part of the sacredness I try to contact while drawing or painting. When I'm lucky, some of that makes it into the work.
