One idea I've been coming back to more and more lately is breakout. In financial trading charts, prices tend to bounce around, but only within narrow parameters. On the low side is support, which is the price big buyers are willing to pay for an asset. On the high side is resistance, which is the price those same big buyers are willing to sell the asset for. The range between resistance and support is the status quo established by the major players.
In some circumstances, this status quo is challenged by market activity. When crowds of buyers overwhelm the big sellers, the asset's price breaks its resistance level and increases sharply. Similarly, when crowds of sellers overwhelm buyer appetites, the price diverges from the norm by crashing. Either way, mounting pressures cause the price to push through the limitations of business as usual.
Something similar happens in society at large. While the boundaries of the status quo are determined and enforced by the control regime, pressures within society sometimes build until they break through the prescribed barriers, expanding the realm of possibility. This process isn't always pretty. Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking and blackmail enterprise was egregious enough to break through the media blackout on the subject, but it took many years. Similar pressure is mounting as more and more details of the control regime's covid crimes come to light.
It is perhaps ironic that the control regime's every effort to seal the boundaries of the status quo also serves to seal in the pressures building towards explosive release. These pressures are evident everywhere, while pressure release valves are vanishingly rare.
Another fitting metaphor is forest fires. Trees in a forest let go of dead branches and other detritus. Over time, this flammable material gradually accumulates until a lightning strike or other event ignites if, producing a forest fire. This fire then burns up all of the fuel and the process starts over again. If no event ignites the fuel for a very long time, the buildup of flammable material becomes excessive. When it is eventually and inevitably ignited, the fire that results is much larger and burns much hotter.
If every small fire in a forest is immediately extinguished before it gets too far, flammable material continues to accumulate in other areas, throughout the whole forest. Eventually, inevitably, a fire starts which cannot be contained, and this accumulation of fuel makes that fire into an unstoppable inferno.
Consider society, where both frivolous and reasonable grievances accumulate like dead branches on a forest floor. Where resentments are dry leaves and pine needles piled a meter deep on the ground. Constant rain, in the form of corporate and governmental manipulation of the masses, suppresses all dissent before it can ignite the accumulated fuel.
When the control regime withheld the rain in response to covid, it wasn't long before my hometown of Minneapolis was literally on fire. And right after the civil unrest, the grievances and resentments that fueled the conflagration began accumulating again. An intensifying suppression of dissent is setting us up for another societal inferno moment. The unrest of 2020 may be minor compared with what's to come.
