I'm among those who don't concern myself mostly with medical terms as they seems many to me, but it is very necessary to know little about everything, seeking knowledge and insight have become my hobbies this days, I went to hospital yesterday and overheard doctors saying that they will be going for a surgery for an issue of ectopic pregnancy. With the thought in my mind, I opt to do some reading about it, here is what I found out;

According to your guide to health by Clifford R. Anderson, MD, Ectopic or tubal pregnancy is rare complication in which the fertilized ovum or embryo becomes blocked in its passage through the Fallopian tube. There the embryo continues to grow as its normally would in uterus. However, the space within the tube is too small to allow much expansion, so that soon the tube may rupture, causing a serious hemorrhage and also intense pain in the pelvis. This may resemble acute appendicitis. Surgery should be done as soon as a tubal pregnancy is suspected, preferably before the hemorrhage has occurred. one or two transfusions may be needed to replace the blood loss.
