Closer than your shadow
it lives within your soul
from one life to the next
like an ancient sacred scroll
It follows countless patterns
thoughts inside your mind
the sum of all your actions
embedded and aligned
Acts of kindness, good intentions
add lightness to your soul
brightening your spirit
helps make you feel whole
While judging others harshly
will only hold you back
karma lets you know
it's all how you react
Drifting through the universe
the thoughts that you create
effecting those around you
those decisions that you make
Perceiving what is good
understanding what's at stake
can shake your very core
and all that you forsake
Nurturing your nature
as it blossoms from a seed
relying on your essence
is all you really need
Much like destiny
and all those twists of fate
how we treat each other
still holds so much weight
It all seems pretty simple
when we read it in a book
but putting it in action
is worth another look
