The other day, I finally got a replacement for my regular glasses as it becomes a bit uncomfortable. Typically that could indicate that my prescription has changed and lately, I can’t see people faces that well anymore even with my current glasses, especially when they are a bit distant.

There’s this new store in town that seems quite modern. Typically, I would go to my regular place where they have a lot of classic frames that I typically choose and is durable. That day, I decided to check out this store since my budget is quite limited and I heard their frames starts very low. The lens is another story but typically prescription glasses all inclusive would start from $20.

A modern way to shop for glasses

It looks very modern and elegant. There are many frames that you can try and their store has the best lighting. It’s almost like entering a cafe/coffee shop and they have plenty of mirrors where you can see which frame suits you better. Everything is also well-stacked and sorted by price and models. Usually in most stores, the frames aren’t really displayed openly as some of the frames can go up to $200. I find that a bit too much for a frame but I understand that actually the more expensive the frame is, it also lasts pretty long. That day though, I wasn’t looking for any fancy frame, just a frame that can hold the lens for another year 😂

Before I was taken to the room where they have quite modern equipment from autorefractor to phoropter, I was browsing more shades. Apparently, it can be customized with prescription too. I was pleased to know that it might come handy someday 😊. So, while waiting for my turn, I was just happily checking out which frame really suits me and this one looks like it’s great for me 😎

The staffs were very friendly and it was such a pleasant experience. There were some customers who were so chatty and helped me pick a frame. Did you know that not all frame looks great on a person? Sometimes a frame can also makes you look older/younger. So, it’s why best to check second opinion if you want to look the best even with glasses. I ended up getting a bit more rounder frame compared to what I normally use these days .

Frame matters - How to look a little less stuck-up

Usually square frame makes me look older and too stuck up as most people already think I am stuck up hahaha😂.

Where rounder frame not only makes me friendlier but also a little less stuck up. It changes people’s first impression about me most of the time. So, honestly, I also prefer rounder/oval frames.

Almost everything here is fast and even I just have to wait less than 20 minutes and my glasses are ready to use. I love the service they are providing as the staffs are really friendly. The only thing that could be improved perhaps the options around the frame as they are quite limited and they don’t seem to have some brand names around. Compared to the places I normally go to, this one was a great experience.
