Cici's New Chapter | Cat Update

Guess it’s been a while since I talked about Cici & Shiro. These days after Shiro died a few months ago, Cici has been all alone. While we were offered some more cats to take care of, with my current circumstances, I declined a lot of offers. A couple of weeks ago, Cici was in heat and she was meowing a lot too. We can’t let her outside of the house because she’s in recovery from lice infestation. But my cousin decided to take her out because he knows someone has a male cat and was in heat too. So, he was gone from home for about two weeks. The house felt a little odd because of her absence. Even my grandma who’s used to calling her felt that too. Her presence in the house makes everything a lot more lively and when she’s gone, it felt like something was missing.

When she got home, she’s already pregnant. As you noticed above, she’s also getting some grooming, I guess the owner did it and it was a nice gesture. Since we can’t take care of too many cats at the moment and my mom isn’t in this house anymore, we’re planning to give the kitten to adoption and another to raise at my mom’s new home. She told me that she might need a cat to accompany at the new place and there’s a lot of friendly cats around her new neighborhood. So, that’s at least what we’re planning and I also plan to take her to the vet clinic that recently opened in my neighborhood. It looks like a proper one and maybe Cici and her kitten would be a lot healthier and the kitten survived longer too.

The fun part is that when she got back home, Cici was behaving a little strange. My grandma noticed that she went to another side of the house for littering. So we’re switching the box to some other place. Since now she’s pregnant, she sleeps a lot more and is way too lazy. More often than not, I see her sleeping on the couch in the room. Also her expression changes a little. It’s like whenever I take pictures of her now, she looks more grumpy and surprised rather than her curious look like in the past. But sometimes she gets closer to the lens and that’s why this picture happened haha
