The sooner one realizes that perfect does not exist, the better. Sooner they can stop the chase after something that's likely never to come.
I guess it is only normal to think about how someone would be in better place if their would not have to deal with certain things in life. But who knows what problems they would have then. There's always something. Nothing's perfect even when there are less stresses in life (like money or health).
