Fan - Ink drawing, Hahnemühle Mixed Media paper 310 g/m² 21x16 cm, 2021
But here we are! Day seven’s prompt was - fan. There are various fans out there, but one that came to my mind was a hand fan. Like, the one we received in the goodies bag at the last physical Hive fest (back then still Steemfest) in 2019. Hand fans also remind me of peacock tails, so that is where the design idea of my hand fan came from.
To create the fan I used - Diamine fountain pen ink called Sherwood Green, Diamine shimmer ink called Arabian Nights, Faber-Castell pencil 2b, Pigma Brush pen, Pigma Micron fine liner 03, Sakura Gelly Roll white liner 08. It was my first time using Sherwood Green, and oh my, it was so fun! I love the patterns the ink makes as it dries. It almost resembles Aurora Borealis dancing in the night sky. Gorgeous! I also enjoyed working in some tiny dotted details in the water droplet gems and the blue bottom bit using fine liners. It made them pop even more. Finally, I sprinkled tiny, white dots all over the fan to make it even more magical.
So, so happy with it! I know, I probably say this about almost every work I have ever created, but at the same time, I think it is an important ingredient when creating stuff. Love your work! <3
Are you attending this year’s Hivefest in AltspaceVR? I will be there for sure, as always, an awkward, strange alien, giggling nervously in my virtual form at your virtual form.
Thank you so much to all of you for your thoughtful comments and support! I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart! Tomorrow starts week two! Onwards!
